Tesfaye Bekele, the owner of the Suke Quto Washing Station in the Guji zone of Ethiopia, is a pillar of his community. Driven by environmentalism and a desire to sustain the local economy, Tesfaye’s hard work has literally put Guji on the map for specialty coffee.

FGC has been buying washed coffees from Suke Quto for years, often roasting them as a core component in our blends.

This small lot of honey-processed coffee is a perfect example of how quality-driven Tesfaye is.

Clean, balanced, and bursting with flavors of tangerine, honeysuckle, and lime – you don’t want to miss this one!

Available as whole bean and on pour over at our 419 Center Street Cafe!

Francisco Mena is known throughout the coffee worl

Francisco Mena is known throughout the coffee world for his work connecting producers to roasters and helping farmers market their coffees through relationships rather than selling to large cooperatives. He recently returned to his passion for farming, and among his special projects is experimentation with cultivars.

This special micro lot is a SL28 cultivar (typically grown in Kenya) which contributes deep stone fruit and bright citrus acidity, balancing nicely with the mild nature imparted by the Costa Rican terroir.

Available as whole bean and on pour over starting today.
