Flying Goat Coffee is happy to announce the new crop arrival of our organic San Cristobal Estate Coffee from the Galapagos Islands. This rare and unusual coffee is grown on a century old farm in the highlands of Isla San
Cristobal, one of the larger, populated islands in the Galapagos archipelago. Despite being in the "highlands," San Cristobal Estate reaches an altitude of only about 1,800 feet. Coffees grown at lower elevations like this tend to be softer, with less brightness (acidity) than those grown at higher altitudes. Our Galapagos coffee is very mild, similar in profile to a high quality Kona, but with a bit more depth of flavor. We chose a medium-dark roast, which creates a rich, low key cup, with notes of pipe tobacco and roasty but sweet chocolate. French press this one.
